Pre-Draft Outlook
Miami is a team that could be in transition. This franchise took a tailspin after trading Jimmy Butler at midseason and is anxious to resume its winning ways. Does this mean swing for the fences for a disgruntled star, which would also mean sacrificing Tyler Herro or Bam Adebayo? The Heat own the No. 20 pick, which will either be included in a trade package or kept. Pat Riley is on the clock.
The Way To Go
Should Miami keep this pick, it’s all about taking the best player available regardless of position. But speaking of that, there’s a pressing need for a point guard. Nolan Traore, who’s part of the current French Basketball Invasion, would’ve been out of reach had he not regressed a bit lately. But he’s just 19 and an intriguing talent who can dish the ball. Miami would snatch him up.
