Overview
Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Eric Dixon attended Abington Senior High School. He won a District 1 title as a senior, finished as the school’s all-time leading scorer and was named 2019 Mr. Pennsylvania Basketball. The four-star recruit redshirted his freshman year at Villanova before earning Big 5 Most Improved Player honors as a sophomore. During his junior and senior seasons, Dixon was named Second-Team All-Big East. As a fifth-year senior, Dixon took another leap, averaging 23.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 0.8 steals per game. He finished as the 2025 NCAA scoring champion en route to Third-Team All-American and First-Team All-Big East honors.

Analysis
Dixon is a big-bodied point forward who bullies his way to spots and can finish with either hand after an array of fakes. He’s a solid mid-range shooter, but he’s elite beyond the arc. Making 41% of 7.2 3-point attempts per game would be top-tier marks for anybody, but getting that type of production from a 6-foot-8, 255-pound player who can also handle the ball will certainly turn some heads. Dixon’s ability to put the ball in the basket should translate to the next level, but to carve out a consistent role, he’ll have to improve defensively, especially on the boards.

Projection
It’s hard not to envision Julius Randle (6-foot-9, 250 pounds) when watching Dixon play in college. Both lefties are natural playmakers who can be the most dominating force on the court. Dixon is much heavier than GG Jackson (6-foot-9, 210 pounds), but the Villanova product could have a similar NBA role as the Memphis forward, who has carved out an offensive-first bench gig after being a second-round pick in 2023.
