Overview
Igor Miličić Jr., a senior at Tennessee in 2024-25, played two professional seasons in the German Pro B League from 2019-2021. The Croatian forward made the move to the NCAA for 2021-22 when he played for the University of Virginia. He then transferred and spent the next two years at UNC Charlotte, where he broke out with career highs in points (12.8), rebounds (8.5) and blocks (1.1) on career-best shooting splits of 49/38/82 in 2023-24. Miličić’s lone year as a Volunteer saw his individual numbers dip while playing on a better team, but he led Tennessee in rebounding at 6.7 per game while playing 25.5 minutes.
Analysis
At 6-foot-10, Miličić has the size and mobility to play at small or power forward in the NBA. He has nice form on his jump shot, can attack the rim on drives and finish with either hand, spaces the floor well and is a willing passer who will find cutters in space. He has a quick release and doesn’t bring the ball down when taking spot-up looks, but his 3-point accuracy has been up and down over the past three seasons, including a career-low 31.4% last year. A number of organizations could use Miličić’s floor-spacing, size and connector-type skill set in today’s game. If he can become a bit more consistent from behind the arc, he could present mismatches.
Projection
Miličić has the potential to be an offensive spark plug off the bench at the next level. He’s great at scoring on the move and in a variety of ways, can stretch the floor while possessing the athleticism to attack closeouts off the dribble, rebounds the ball well, and can do some playmaking from the frontcourt. He’ll have to keep working at his craft on the defensive end, but his overall game is reminiscent of Lauri Markkanen, Kyle Anderson and Naz Reid.
