2025 NBA Draft

Consensus Mock Draft: Where things stand 1 week from 2025 NBA Draft

With the Finals winding down, the NBA focus will soon be squarely on the Draft. Here's the latest consensus forming around the top picks.

Carter Bryant’s stock has been rising on mock drafts heading into next week’s 2025 NBA Draft.

2025 NBA Draft: Complete coverage

The Consensus Mock Draft is a compilation of the best mock drafts from around the web. We bring them together to provide a solid estimate of how the Draft could play out. As we stand one week away, eight of the 10 reviewed mocks are fresh.

  • Lock in the 1-2. A week out, forward Cooper Flagg and Rutgers guard Dylan Harper continue to reign supreme as a unanimous pair.
  • Harper’s Rutgers teammate Ace Bailey has had stock sliding, dropping him behind Baylor product VJ Edgecombe. Bailey’s range has expanded from Nos. 3-5 down as low as No. 9 on one board. Edgecombe has remained stable around Nos. 3-4, where he draws 8 of the 10 estimates (he’s No. 5 on the other 2).
  • From there, Texas guard Tre Johnson, Duke’s Kon Knueppel, Oklahoma PG Jeremiah Fears, Illinois guard Kasparas Jakucionis, Duke 7-footer Khaman Maluach and Maryland big Derik Queen each saw slight upticks in support; Queen notably returns to the pair of boards he dropped off last round.
  • Defensive standouts Collin Murray-Boyles (South Carolina) and Carter Bryant (Arizona) flip flopped, with Bryant surging 12 points and Murray-Boyles dropping four.
  • Rangy big Maluach seems to remain a mystery, with his stock slotting as high as 4th or low as 12th, matching Queen (Nos. 6-14) for the widest range in this initial look.
  • No first-timers as the lottery perception starts to firm up;
  • Overall, 10 players appear in the lottery on all 10 mocks we surveyed: Cooper Flagg, Dylan Harper, VJ Edgecombe, Ace Bailey, Tre Johnson, Kon Knueppel, Jeremiah Fears, Khaman Maluach, Kasparas Jakucionis and Derik Queen. That’s down from 10 last analysis. Carter Bryant misses with nine.

Consensus Mock Draft Top 14

To calculate the consensus, we award 14 points for every mock draft in which the player went first overall, 13 for second, continuing to one point for the final lottery pick. The player with the highest point total represents the top overall selection, which is as follows:

1. Cooper Flagg | Dallas Mavericks

Duke | Position: F | Height: 6-9
Status: Freshman
Most Common: 1 (10)

An elite two-way prospect who could prove to be not only a franchise centerpiece but a long-term face of the league.

2. Dylan Harper | San Antonio Spurs

Rutgers | Position: G | Height: 6-6
Status: Freshman
Most Common: 2 (10)

Visionary combo guard wields precise footwork and sharp offensive instincts with size in the backcourt.

3. VJ Edgecombe | Philadelphia 76ers 🔼

Baylor | Position: G-F | Height: 6-5
Status: Freshman
Most Common: 3, 4 (4)

Rising international star for the Bahamas is an athletic marvel whose upside is only limited by his development.

4. Ace Bailey | Charlotte Hornets 🔽

Rutgers | Position: F | Height: 6-10
Status: Freshman
Most Common: 3 (3)

Knockdown shooter needs to avoid narrowing options to his own. Adding the strength to bang could compensate for cold spells.

5. Tre Johnson | Utah Jazz

Texas | Position: G | Height: 6-6
Status: Freshman
Most Common: 5 (4)

A clutch performer whose scoring punch is unquestioned, his upside banks on belief in vision and defense.

6. Kon Knueppel | Washington Wizards

Duke | Position: F | Height: 6-7
Status: Freshman
Most Common: 7 (3)

Shooters gonna shoot, and it helps when they’re also making high-level decisions in the pick-and-roll.

7. Jeremiah Fears | New Orleans Pelicans

Oklahoma | Position: G | Height: 6-4
Status: Freshman
Most Common: 6, 7, 8 (3)

A youngster who sports handles and quicks for days. His future as an offensive fulcrum or solid fit puzzle piece seems in the eye of the beholder.

8. Khaman Maluach | Brooklyn Nets

Duke | Position: C | Height: 7-2
Status: Freshman
Most Common: 9 (4)

Long, mobile and already a defensive deterrent. If the offense elevates beyond rim-rolling, opponents could be in trouble.

9. Kasparas Jakucionis | Toronto Raptors

Illinois | Position: G | Height: 6-6
Status: Freshman
Most Common: 10 (2)

Dimes will be dropped, with the accuracy of his 3-pointer ultimately determining how much space he’ll have to operate.

10. Derik Queen | Houston Rockets

Maryland | Position: C | Height: 6-10
Status: Freshman
Most Common: 12 (3)

Skilled and gifted with the ball in his hands, offense won’t ever be the issue if he’s given the reps to take the keys.

12. Carter Bryant | Portland Trail Blazers 🔼

Arizona | Position: F | Height: 6-8
Status: Freshman
Most Common: 10 (3)

The defense is there, but low usage leaves many questions about his offensive profile.

12. Collin Murray-Boyles | Atlanta Hawks 🔽

South Carolina | Position: F | Height: 6-7
Status: Sophomore
Most Common: 10 (3)

A stout defender who will need the size to play up (and the shot to fall) for his full potential to be achieved.

13. Noa Essengue | Chicago Bulls

Ratiopharm Ulm (Germany) | Position: F | Height: 6-10
Status: International
Most Common: 8 (2)

The Draft’s second-youngest prospect, and a raw offensive product who projects a 3-and-D floor.

14. Egor Demin | San Antonio Spurs

Brigham Young | Position: G | Height: 6-9
Status: Freshman
Most Common: 11 (2)

Huge guard is ready to dish ’em out. But will his turnovers and developing shot scare off suitors?
